DO I NEED TO NOTIFY THE SPRING CREEK WATER COMPANY IF I BUY OR SELL WATER SHARES?


When water shares are bought or sold it is very important to make sure the name on the Water Share Certificate is updated. This is a requirement to be able to show beneficial use of water, and notify share holders of changes and updates to the water company. If you have aquired a Spring Creek Water share and have not notified Spring Creek Water Company, Please contact the Spring Creek Water Company Secretary listed in the Board of Directors.

WHAT ARE THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS?

  1. Vigorously defend the company from the transfer of its water rights to other jurisdictions.

  2. Maintain, and when appropriate enhance the production of, the canyon springs and other sources of water and the means of collecting such waters to maximize the flow rates at the mouth of Providence Canyon available for distribution, especially during below normal water years.

  3. Maintain, preserve and when and where needed improve the integrity of the company’s distribution system that delivers water to it stockholders.

  4. Control the flow rates throughout the distribution system so that all stockholders received the amount of water they are entitled to according to the number of shares they own or lease.  This equitable distribution of available water will be especially important during below normal water years.

  5. Acquire and maintain records of the flow rates at the mouth of Providence Canyon, and that coming into the system from Blacksmith Fork by the “Exchange Agreement” with Providence City.

  6. Avoid conflicts of interest that interfere with, or influence, their judgments related to the above objectives.  The board members should become informed with the operation of SCWC and use this knowledge in making wise decisions in achieving the best outcomes to the above objectives.  They are responsible to ensure that the Company operates in accordance with its Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation.
